About our Club
Soroptimist International Hoylake & West Kirby held their first meeting in March 1946 in the Marigold Cafe in West Kirby. We will be celebrating our 70th Anniversary in 2016 as will our sister Club in Trondheim, Norway, with whom we have a close friendship.
We usually meet twice a month. On the second Monday in the month at 7.30 pm at Hoylake Sailing Club we have a meeting to plan our activities ending with a relaxing drink together. On the fourth Monday in the month we generally have a social evening which could involve a meal with a guest speaker; a visit to the theatre; or we might host a fundraising event.
Throughout the year we enjoy helping a range of local community programmes and activities such as taking part in the parade of the Festival of Firsts, helping the Wirral Foodbank, assisting with the Community Lunch at St Luke’s Church in Hoylake. As well as serving the community, we support a variety of local and international charities.
